Yooka-Laylee: Kickstarter campaign hits 1.5 million £, 14th stretch goal added

Yesterday, the 13th stretch goal was reached: that means the game will get an Orchestral score! Playtonic also added a 14th stretch goal: if 2 million £ are pledged before June 17th, DLC will be made (but only when the game has shipped). The best part? It will be free for all backers!

That’s it, the Kickstarter campaign for Yooka-Laylee has just reached 1 million pounds… more than 9 times what the developers were asking for, and within 24 hours! That means that the 10th and last stretch goal has been reached, and that all console versions will launch on the same day.
Now, Playtonic is definitely going to need some new stretch goals for their campaign!

Yesterday, Playtonic revealed Yooka-Laylee: a 3D platformer, and a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie.
And just a few minutes ago, they finally launched the long-awaited Kickstarted campaign, which is off to an incredible start… After all, the whole thing was funded in less than an hour, with 175 000£ pledged in a little under 40 minutes!

As mentionned above, Playtonic asked 175 000£ for the game, and they got this in a matter of minutes. But of course, just like all Kickstarter campaigns, there’s various Stretch goals that will be reached as more people pledge… and at the rate things are going, they’re going to need to add some more! Currently, the max. stretch goal is 1 000 000£.
