Yo-kai Watch 4: first screenshot and additional details (world, characters)
Today, Level-5 shared details about two of its upcoming Nintendo Switch games: Inazuma Eleven Ares and Yo-kai Watch 4. For the latter, we actually got our very first look at the game proper, with just one lone screenshot (to be found below).
Level-5 announced that the game will be released in Winter 2018, which was pretty obvious: mainline Yo-kai Watch games have all been released either in July or December (alongside the latest movie). Since nothing was released in July, it was pretty clear Yo-kai Watch 4 would launch alongside Yo-kai Watch: FOREVER FRIENDS (opening on December 14th in theatres).
As mentioned last month, Yo-kai Watch 4 sees three different world connect:
- the world of the original Yo-kai Watch trilogy (where Keita lives)
- the world of Yo-kai Watch: Shadow Side (where Natsume lives)
- the world of Yo-kai Watch FOREVER FRIENDS (where Shin lives)
Several characters have already been confirmed (Japanese names):
Keita’s world
- Keita Amano
- Whisper
- Jibanyan
Natsume’s world
- Natsume Amano
- Junior
- Jibanyan (Light side, though his Dark Side also appears in the screenshot below)
- Akinori
- Touma Tsukinami
Shin’s world
- Shin Shimomachi
- Nekomata
- Suu-san
Here’s the very first screenshot for the game and artworks for the characters:
