Xenoblade Chronicles X: some more details about the Arm Companies

Yesterday, Monolith Software updated their official website for Xenoblade Chronicles X with lots of additional details about the game, including the Arm Companies. Those were showcased during the Battle presentation last week: they develop and sell equipment for your characters and the Dolls. There’s various companies in the game, such as Sakuraba Heavy Industry, Granada GG, and Meledes & Co..

During your adventure, you can chose to support some of these companies: doing so allows them to level up, and create more powerful gear. It can be done in three different ways:

– you can give them some Miranium (all-purpose minerals found on Mira);
– you can use their weapons in battle: when defeating enemies, you get some Commercial Points;
– you can give them some rare materials

There’s also a feature called “Affix Enhancement”, which allows you to upgrade your equipment using various materials found throughout Mira. You can also enhance weapons and equipment via slots: you can fill those with special devices, to add power-ups and special effects.

Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U) comes out on April 29th in Japan, and later this year in Europe and North America.
