As the weeks go by, and the release of the Nintendo Switch draws ever nearer, we’re getting more and more game announcements from various publishers. Even in Japan, developers and publishers have begun making announcements, such as City Connection who revealed Soldam 2 in last week’s issue of Famitsu magazine.

And this week, another Nintendo Switch game is to be revealed in the magazine, called VOEZ. Since the game is from Flyghigh Works, one of the most prolific publishers on the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo 3DS, it’s quite likely this is a digital-only game. The fact that it was originally released on smart devices by Rayark International Limited confirms it. Esquadra is developing this version of the game.

VOEZ is a rhythm game, where you get to play music as part of a band. The preview scan below show us various characters (3 boys and 3 girls), and some gameplay screens. Famitsu reveals that this version of the game will feature over 100 songs from Japanese and Taiwanese composers, including some that are not found in the Android and iOS version.

Here’s the story for the mobile game, which is seemingly the same in this version:

Chelsea, a girl who wholeheartedly loves baking and singing. Due to an unexpected event, she and her Lan Kong High School classmates decided to pursue their mutual dream, leading to the birth of their band VOEZ. Over time they face obstacles and fight hardships together, completely devoting themselves to band practice so the world may hear their voices.

Here’s the preview scan from Famitsu magazine:

And here’s some screenshots from the Nintendo Switch version of the game:

Famitsu does not have a release date for the game, but mentions that development is 99% complete.

VOEZ (Switch – eShop) will launch in March, and will cost 2 314 Yen. It has been added to the Upcoming Releases page and the list of confirmed games for the Nintendo Switch!
