UK: video games sales for Week 38, 2015 (ending September 19th)
Week 38 was a week of drops for Nintendo in the United Kingdom. After a really strong debut, Super Mario Maker lost 4 places and ends up at #6 with sales down by 58%. It’s still the best-selling title on Wii U by far, though the game in second position of the Wii U chart changed this week.
Indeed, Splatoon dropped from #18 to #38, with 20 places lost in a single week. Mario Kart 8 is therefore the new second best-selling Wii U game in the UK, with only one place lost compared to last week. But how long will both games remain the Top 40, and will Super Mario Maker manage to remain in the Top 20 until the end of the month?
Unfortunately, there still isn’t any Nintendo 3DS games in the chart, though the best-selling title has also changed this week. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is back on top in the UK, gaining 10 places in a single week.
