UFO 50 – Ver. 1.9

  • Patch notes:

  • Adds Japanese language.
  • Brings optimizations and fixes.

UFO 50

  • Fixed a rare crash that could occur in the pause menu when connecting and disconnecting controllers.
  • Various performance optimizations, focusing on games with the most slowdown (e.g. Grimstone, Porgy).
  • Other minor improvements.

Avianos

  • Fixed a bug that caused ancestors to remain scrambled after moving on to an unscrambled scenario.

Bug Hunter

  • Fixed: Movement prediction wasn’t working properly for the Traverse module.
  • Fixed: Movement prediction wasn’t working properly for pushing bugs into bug spray.
  • Fixed: Transport and Tunnel were not comboing with Power Up.
  • Fixed: If your final bug died from energy cubes dropping in at the end of round, you didn’t win the game like you were supposed to.
  • Fixed: When activating modules, you could use simultaneous inputs to select supposedly unselectable areas.
  • Fixed: French intro text was getting cut off.

Campanella 2

  • Fixed some bugs with level generation.

Grimstone

  • Fixed: Some text was always displaying in English irrespective of the Language setting.
  • Fixed: In groups of 8 enemies, two enemies could overlap each other.
  • Fixed: CHACHA affects the entire party but the text would refer to a single target.

Hyper Contender

  • Fixed: When using the code PAST-RULE, Donkus could crash the game.

Lords of Diskonia

  • Fixed: The failed scenarios stat wasn’t working properly.

Mini & Max

  • Fixed: When certain cave enemies laid their eggs in item blocks it would crash the game.
  • Fixed: When projectiles thrown by cave amoebas passed through other enemies, it created slowdown.
  • Fixed: Softlock in Mini & Max if you enter the evil Hexan town from the left side (requires moving a block).

Night Manor

  • Fixed: Using the garage opener displayed a blank text box if the garage door was already open.

Vainger

  • Makes player shot collision hierarchy consistent.

How to download updates for UFO 50 on Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for UFO 50, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
