List of changes:

Players registering via an external authorization service are now assigned an automatic nickname.
- (Note) Use the free rename option in the settings to change your nickname.
The console version of the game now allows logging into an existing account.
- (Note) To log into an existing account, you need to log out of the current account in the “Account” section of the Settings. After that, you will be asked to set a password for your console account, and after that you will be able to log into any existing account by entering your nickname and password.
The Pumpkin grenade now has its own unique explosion effect, different from the Bomb grenade.
On the account registration selection screen, some log in methods may load with a delay but will no longer cause the client to freeze.
The console version of the game now displays the current game version, nickname, and controller battery level on the screen.
Striker
- After respawning, the first shot is now always fired from the right barrel.

List of fixes:

Fixed the Ricochet turret’s barrel animation (on a remote tank).
Fixed an issue in the Unity version of the game that could cause the game to freeze in the Settings menu.
Added a reset for the Striker turret’s charge indicator after respawn.
Fixed the display of the Striker turret’s charging indicator on skins that support it.
Fixed terrain texture tiling for new Remastered maps.
Improved flag base effects when capturing flags.

List of fixes in the console version:

Increased the size of button hint icons for Nintendo controllers.
Added digit grouping for displaying large numbers.
Fixed the progress bar display for the challenge widget.
Fixed the display of Supermissions with large numerical progress.
Removed unnecessary timers in the limited offers section of the Shop and added timers for special offers related to Challenges.
Optimized tank physics.

How to download updates for Tanki Online on Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Tanki Online, you have three options:

let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
