SteamWorld Heist: first screenshots for the 3DS version, third round of Ambassadors

Today, Image & Form has a nice surprise for Nintendo 3DS fans eagerly waiting for the next chapter in the SteamWorld saga. Along with the third round of SteamWorld Ambassadors, the company also revealed the very first screenshots for the Nintendo 3DS version of SteamWorld Heist.

Image & Form explains that since SteamWorld Dig was such a smash hit on Nintendo 3DS, a version for this platform has been in development from the very beginning. Does that mean it will come out on Nintendo 3DS first? We’re not quite sure yet, but there’s no doubt Image & Form will have more information about the release schedule in the upcoming months.

The best part about the first screenshots for the Nintendo 3DS version of SteamWorld Heist? They actually include the bottom screen, which shows some very useful info about the characters and controls, as well as a map of the area (with the position of enemies, allies, and more).

SteamWorld Ambassador

For the third SteamWorld Ambassador Challenge, fans were tasked with penning three one-liners for the Scrappers (with 3 themes: anger, glee and shock). In total, they received hundres of entries, and just like the previous two Challenges, they had a hard time picking up winners.

Here’s the winners for the third SteamWorld Ambassador Challenge, along with their respective entry:

• Anger: “Cogwash!” by Josiah Jones
• Glee: “Nailed it!” by U gonna get shrekt
• Shock: “Mother of cog!” by Soupfist

SteamWorld Heist (Wii U / 3DS) comes out later this year in Europe and North America.
