SteamWorld Heist: first screenshot for HD version, first DLC called “The Outsider”

Today, Image & Form made two announcements for SteamWorld Heist, including one for players who really want to play the game in HD. First, they confirmed that the game would soon launch on HD platforms, but didn’t specify which one(s). It will be playable at the PAX East in Boston, next week (April 22nd to 24th), so that’s most definitely when and where the first platform(s) to get the HD version of SteamWorld Heist will be announced.

The second announcement is about the update for the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, which was announced quite a while ago. Image & Form confirmed that the first DLC pack for the game would launch at the same time as that update, and will be called “The Outsider”. Unfortunately, that’s all we know about it for now, and more details will be announced closer to release. All we know right now is that the Nintendo 3DS version will get the DLC first, and pretty “soon”.

As for the update for the Nintendo 3DS version, it will include various improvements, some new features, but also localisation for the following languages:

• French
• Italian
• German
• Spanish
• Russian

SteamWorld Heist (Wii U, eShop) comes out later this year in Europe and North America.
