SteamWorld Heist: Ambassador Challenge #7 (Create Ancient Relics)

SteamWorld Heist comes out later this year on Nintendo 3DS (then later on Wii U), but if you’re interested, you can play the game before everyone else. To do so, you simply have to become a SteamWorld Ambassador. How to become one? Well, it’s quite simple: you just need to win one of Image & Form’s challenges!

ancient-relics-steamworld-heistThe SteamWorld Ambassador Challenge #7 is directly linked to the setting of SteamWorld Heist: a post-apocalyptic world, set in a future where humanity seems to have completely disappeared. In the game, you can find mysterious “relics” sold at a very high price in the shops: those are actually items used by humans before their disappearance (such as smartphones, toilet paper rolls, etc.).

With the SteamWorld Ambassador Challenge #7, fans are tasked with creating an ancient relic, so that it can be added to the game. Image & Forms explains that your relic must have “a unique name, look, short description/backstory and [should] not be bigger than a small TV or smaller than a pen”. Then, the artists/writers will look at the entry and pick up their favorite.

Here’s the guidelines:

Describe your relic (and ask any questions) in the comments below. We need your idea by Sunday August 30th at 23:59 CEST (EU) / 5:59 PM EDT (NA). We’ll reveal the winner in next week’s blog update (Tuesday). By submitting your ideas you give us the right to freely use them in our products and services. We reserve the right to judge if the winning entry appears in SteamWorld Heist or not.

You are completely free with your relic suggestion, but let’s keep it safe for work and enjoyable for everyone. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

If you are selected, you will get:

– exclusive info before launch;
– download codes for the game (before launch).

SteamWorld Heist (3DS eShop) comes out this Fall in Europe and North America. The Wii U version will come a later date.
