Splatoon: video for Ranked Battles, Battle Dojo and amiibo

Yesterday evening, Nintendo of America uploaded a “new” video for Splatoon: it’s actually the same that was shown last week, during the North American Nintendo Direct. In this video, Bill Trinen gives us a preview of several features of the game:

– Ranked Battles: an online multiplayer mode, more competitive. One of the modes is Splat Zones, where two teams have to compete for the same, limited space… As mentionned by the Squid Research Lab in the past few days, this leads to much more fierce battles than regular Turf Wars.
– Battle Dojo: a 1vs1 local multiplayer mode (one player on the GamePad, the other on the TV), where two players have to compete in order to pop up the most balloons.
– amiibo: Splatoon will get three amiibos (Inkling boy and girl + Squid), which will unlock special challenges and rare gear.

Here’s the video:

Splatoon (Wii U) comes out on May 28th in Japan, and May 29th in Europe and North America.
