Splatoon: pic and video of the day (April 13th) – New weapon

Today, the Squid Research Lab posted two messages on the official Twitter for Splatoon, in order to introduce a brand new weapon: the Squeak-Clean α. It compresses small containers of ink and then shoots them: it’s a bit like the Splat Charger, but it takes less time to charge. It’s as powerful, but it also has a shorter range. The researcher notes that the little bottle reminds him/her of a bottle of detergent… but what comes out of the Squeak-Clean α looks nothing like detergent!

Here’s a pic of that new weapon:

The Squid Research Lab also uploaded a short video of the Squeak-Clean α, which clearly shows the difference in charge time and range between that weapon and the Splat Charger. The researcher notes that even if the difference may seem rather small at first glance, it’s really noticeable when using the weapon in combat.

Here’s a short video of the Squeak-Clean α:

Splatoon (Wii U) comes out on May 28th in Japan, and May 29th in Europe and North America.
