Splatoon: new weapon to be added in a few hours (Rapid Blaster Pro)

New weapon

When Nintendo detailed the first major Software update for Splatoon, in July, they made it pretty clear that new content (maps and weapons) for Splatoon would still be added to the game on a regular basis. The point is obviously to keep players interested, so that they keep on playing without getting bored with the same weapons and maps.

Splatoon 1Since the Ver. 2.0.0 update, new additions have been taking place only once a week (on Saturday morning / Friday evening, most of the time), as opposed to twice a week before the update. This week, it will be on Saturday morning (as usual), with a new weapon from the Shooters family: the Rapid Blaster Pro.

As the name implies, it’s a modified version of the Rapid Blaster, with increased range. It comes with Seekers (Secondary Weapon), that you can use to get into position and strike enemies from their blind spot. As for its Special Weapon, it’s the Inkzooka: perfect for players who like to wreck havok in the front lines!

Here’s some pictures for the Rapid Blaster Pro:

The Rapid Blaster Pro weapons will be added on Saturday morning, at the usual time:

  • Europe: 4AM
  • UK: 3AM
  • North America (EDT): 10PM (Friday evening)
  • North America (DPT): 7PM (Friday evening)
  • Japan: 11AM

Head after the break for more Splatoon news!

In Japan, some Splatoon stamps (the kind you use with ink, not those you put on a letter!) will be released on December 25th for 864 Yen (730 Yen on Amazon.co.jp). Here’s a picture:
