[Brief] Shantae: Half-Genie Hero to be released in September

Last week, XSEED announced that they would be publishing Shantae: Half-Genie Hero at retail in North America. Unfortunately, they didn’t give a release date, which was apparently left to WayForward to announce themselves (which does make sense, since they’re the one developing the game in the first place!).

And on Saturday, WayForward tweeted a screencap of GameStop’s website, showing listings for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. On that lisiting, there’s a release date: September 27th. The fact that they pointed it out in the first place is proof that it’s the actual release date, not a placeholder.

What’s more, WayForward confirmed that the retail and digital versions of the game would be released on the same day. Therefore, we can assume that the release date apply to both North America and Europe.
