SEGA 3D Classics Collection 3: Final Stage will include Alien Syndrome and Columns, boxart

On Tuesday, we learned that the last two games from SEGA 3D Classics Collection 3: Final Stage (the third and final retail collection of SEGA 3D Classics titles) would be revealed in Famitsu this week. Now that the magazine is available, SEGA has sent a press release to talk about those two games!

And for the final two games, we have:

  • Alien Syndrome: it will be the Arcade version, originally released in 1987. It will feature local co-op (up to 2 players), and you will be able to chose between the Japanese and international versions;
  • Columns: it will be the Mega Drive / SEGA Genesis version, originally released in 1990. It will feature various modes, including Arcade Mode, Original Mode, Flash Columns, and more. It will be playable in local multiplayer, too.

Here’s some screenshots for those two games:

And here’s the final version of the boxart, which was once again draw by the one and only Ken Sugimori (of Pokémon fame, and a big SEGA fan):

The final list of games for the SEGA 3D Classics Collection 3: Final Stage is as follows:

  • 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2
  • 3D Afterburner II
  • 3D Streets of Rage 2
  • 3D Gunstar Heroes
  • 3D Super Hang-on
  • Turbo Outrun
  • Thunder Force III
  • Alien Syndrome
  • Columns

SEGA 3D Classics Collection 3: Final Stage (3DS) comes out on December 22nd in Japan. On the same day, SEGA will release a package including all three collections.
