Samurai Warriors 5: final trailer, offline split-screen confirmed, footage, and lots of screenshots

With just three weeks left until release in Japan, Koei-Tecmo have revealed the “final” trailer for Samurai Warriors 5:

SAMURAI WARRIORS 5 marks a fresh re-imagining of the franchise, including an all-new storyline, as well as revamped character designs and a stylish new visual presentation. Check out the exhilarating Warriors gameplay in action in this brand-new trailer featuring music from EXILE!

Also, the two Limited Editions for the game (Collector’s Edition and Treasure Box Edition) are now available for pre-order on the official Koei-Tecmo Europe Store!

But that’s not all! Koei-Tecmo have also updated the official website for the game, adding details about game modes, buildings and upgrades. They have also confirmed that Samurai Warriors 5 will indeed offer offline splitscreen functionality.

Various Japanese outlets have already started publishing their reviews for the game, providing us with quite a lot of screenshots. But first, here’s a video review from Famitsu, featuring over 9 minutes of footage:

Samurai Warriors 5 (Switch) comes out on June 24th in Japan, and July 27th in Europe and North America.
