Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2: trailer for the Nintendo Switch features, pre-purchase live (Japan)

Earlier this week, Capcom shared a brand new trailer for Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 on Nintendo Switch, which are releasing at the end of the month worldwide. It focuses on the Nintendo Switch features, such as the additional control options available to players using Joy-Cons.

Naturally, the game can be played in any mode (Tabletop Mode, TV Mode, Handheld Mode), and you’re free to use the standard controls if you don’t want to deal with motion controls.

But if you want to try something different, then motion controls are definitely worth checking out. You can use the Joy-Cons to aim and fire at enemy, ready your gun and magazine to reload, attack enemies with a knife (by using swings), fend off enemies (by shaking the controller), and more. You can even play in co-op, with each player getting one Joy-Con.

The Joy-Cons (and more precisely the right one) can also be used to scan amiibo figures, and get some in-game items (Shock Grenades, Rifle Ammo, etc.). It doesn’t look like they unlock anything special, they just give you some extras.

And of course, just like on other platforms, Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 come with all DLC and add-on contents:

Resident Evil Revelations

  • weapons
  • raid mode costumes

Resident Evil Revelations 2

  • add-on costumes
  • raid mode characters
  • raid mode stages
  • add-on episodes

Finally, the trailers ends with a showcase of the 2D mini-games that were revealed a few weeks ago (check out this post for more details!).

Here’s the latest trailer for Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 on Nintendo Switch:

Also, both games are now available for pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop… but only in Japan. If you don’t mind using a Japanese Nintendo Account, then you’re all good: the game comes with all languages (including English), so you will not be stuck with Japanese if you buy it on the Japanese Nintendo eShop. Right now, it’s not clear if/when the game will be available for pre-purchase in Europe and North America.

Resident Evil Revelations require 13GB of free space, while Resident Evil Revelations require no less than 23.6GB. Both games cost 2 990 Yen.

Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 (Switch) come out on November 28th in Europe and North America, and November 30th in Japan. It’s been added to the list of games available for pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop!
