Rain World – Ver. 1.11.5

  • Fixed some graphics and particle effects unintentionally rendering with solid square borders on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch versions of the game.
  • Warp points now pull important key items from a larger radius so there’s less chance of them accidentally getting left behind.
  • Relocated a couple player-generated warp target destinations so they won’t ever spawn above bottomless bodies of water that can swallow player’s important items after traveling through the warp.
  • Fixed pearls not getting brought through the portal into Ancient Urban sometimes.
  • Fixed the map icon still showing a region as being rotted even after all rooms in that region have had their rot purified.
  • Fixed rot lizards still remaining as rotted on subsequent cycles even after the rot has been purified from the room they spawned in.
  • Fixed the Prince not giving the player the mark during Watcher’s final ending sequence if the game was set to certain languages.
  • Fixed additional issues with key item trackers that could cause the game to crash if loading into a room adjacent to another room with a tracked key item.
  • Fixed rooms containing void spawns crashing the game in Jolly Co-op mode if Player 1 got killed in a way that despawns their corpse.
  • Fixed the “Friends Sheltered” counter on the statistics screen always incrementing every cycle when Jolly Co-op is enabled, even if a friend wasn’t sheltered that cycle.

  • Fixed two of the dens in the Drill Site arena being impossible to enter.

  • General fix for offscreen creatures like Miros Birds, etc, where they also could sometimes spawn in rooms or locations they’re not meant to.

Rain World – Ver. 1.11.4

  • Fixed the screen sometimes shaking violently or the screen going black in certain scenarios where lizards interacted badly with sloped terrain.
  • Fixed the Passages perk in Expedition mode freezing the game.
  • Fixed some information in Expedition mode’s menus failing to display on certain consoles.
  • Fixed the Jukebox menu in Expedition mode freezing depending on your music settings.
  • Fixed a warp point issue with Watcher’s final ending that would cause the ending to break if you replayed the ending a second time shortly after the first time playing through that ending. (For players who already are experiencing the glitch in their current save file, this won’t retroactively fix it, but hibernating for at least 5 cycles before replaying the ending will also fix that issue in your current save)
  • Fixed an additional console-exclusive hardlock that would occur after spawning ripple rifts at higher ripple levels and hibernating in the same region as the rift(s). Or equivalently, warp points crashing if warping into a region that includes those player-spawned ripple rifts.
  • Fixed visual glitches that would occur when entering the void sea while in ripple space.
  • Fixed the void sea sequences in non-Watcher campaigns breaking in various ways if you were in Jolly Co-op mode and one or more of the characters were playing as The Watcher.

Rain World – Ver. 1.04 (Remix Update)

  • Release date: ???
  • Patch notes:

No patch notes available. This update brings the following to the game:

  • adds accessiblity options
  • adds customization options
  • fixes many bugs
  • improves on some of the things that annoyed players, like the rain deer interactions
    • The tweaked deer behavior option adds two ways that players can influence the direction the rain deer goes once on the antlers. Shaking on the antler will encourage them to change directions, or encourage them to move if they are idling in place. If the slugcat is holding a sporepuff while on the antlers, then the position of the slugcat will also influence their movement.

Some of the options include:

  • Loading screen tips and extra tutorials will be added to help newer players with the mechanics that the game doesn’t normally teach you in game – like how to drop items or how to tell how much time is left in a cycle. Loading screen tips will occasionally give tips when the slugcat dies or when the slugcat survives the cycle. Extended tutorials will give in-game tutorial messages for certain mechanics and scenarios.
  • Threat music visual pulse will give a visual indicator of incoming danger. In addition to the music going more intense as the slugcat gets closer to danger, the threat music visual pulse shows a heartbeat of red dots on the bottom of the screen. There are up to five red dots that can appear and the more red dots that show up the closer the slugcat is to danger.
  • Slug Senses: checking the map with this option active will show the creatures that are near the slugcat in the room, including those creatures that are just off screen. On the map it will show the creature symbol and will differentiate if they are alive or dead. However, camouflaged creatures, creatures in darkness, or those underwater, will still obscure themselves from the map.
  • Karma gates:
    • the first option is that karma gates will have Monk style gates for all campaigns. Once you cross through the gate, that gate will continue to be unlocked and not require karma again
    • the second option will disable all karma gate requirements – so even if you are struggling you can continue to go through the karma gates at the lowest karma.
  • Speedruns: togglable in-game speedrun timer. Now a lot of speedrunners may be distraught to hear that Rain World Remix does fix a lot of speedrunning exploits like karma caching and guardian skips. We don’t want to hurt the speedrun community and make speedruns less consistent so we have put in a toggleable option that can be used to keep exploits and advantageous glitches that speedrunners use to get the fastest times.
  • Red Lizards: If red lizards weren’t scary enough there is an Alpha Red Lizards option to make them stronger. This option gives them tongues to pull you close, and if you think that stashing a bunch of spears is a good idea, their tongue can snatch your spear and break it in half with their bite.
