R-Type Final 2 – Ver. 2.0.3
- Release date: August 2024 (North America, Europe, Japan)
- Patch notes:
Added a new player ship.
The humanoid fighter TL-3N NARCISSUS, which appears in the sci-fi tactical simulation game R-TYPE TACTICS II that sets in the world of R-TYPE, has been added as a player ship. Unlike other humanoid craft, it cannot transform into a flight form but has more powerful armaments.
The following three conditions must be met to develop the TL-3N NARCISSUS, and the “TL-2AT,” the predecessor of the TL-3N in the phylogenetic chart, must have been developed.
- “Stage R2.0” has been completed.
- Spend the resources necessary to develop the ship (Solonium: 450, Etherium: 450, Bydogen: 450).
- The development of the “R-9D2” has been completed.
“Speed change levels” have been added to the Options.
Until now, the speed change of a player’s ship had four levels, but now you can switch between four and seven levels in Options. The minimum and maximum speeds remain the same even with seven levels, but the speed can now be fine-tuned, so you can make the most of it to suit your playstyle. Weapons whose performance depends on the speed level remain unchanged at four levels.
Increased the number of save slots for the ‘R Album,’ which saves the customized state of a player ship, from 120 to 180.
Enjoy customizing your ships with the expanded R Album.
Added two backgrounds to the “Pilot & War Record.”
‘Coastline: Sandy Beach,’ featuring the setting sun on the horizon, and the ‘White-light space: Mirror,’ based on the title screen of R-Type Tactics II. These backgrounds are now available for use.
Added two types of decals that you can add to your ship.
‘R-Type Final 2’s 3rd-anniversary decal’ and ‘R-Type Final 3 Evolved’s 1st-anniversary decal’ are now available.
Improved and fixed various performance issues.
