Power Disc Slam: details about the upcoming update, coming soon

In the past few weeks, Chequered Cow Games has been working on an update for Power Disc Slam. It will include the following changes/additions:

  • Moved score to lower screen
  • Reduced character momentum
  • Increased acceleration of slide
  • Obstacle collision will result in disc alway deflecting away
  • Spin detection made more tolerant
  • Made blocking easier to trigger
  • Reduced fall time
  • Tweaked specials
  • AI tweaked
  • Control options: 8 different configs
  • Skip added to tutorial lessons
  • Different lengths of slide according to time button held down
  • Instant fast throw if button pressed at right time
  • Extra costumes/skins (now 4 per character)
  • More mini-game levels (16 new ones, 64 in total)
  • Disc types (Free Play, Multiplayer): Normal (unchanged), Speed (faster throw, but less spin), Skill (more spin, but slower)
  • Lighting variants of the courts and some extra effects while in play

Originally, this update was supposed to coincide with the recent price drop, but it was delayed because of issues encountered during lotcheck. Due to online, the update needs to be approved in both Europe and North America at the same time (or players from one region wouldn’t be able to play with those from the other). Right now, there’s one issue left in one region, but after that, everything should be good!
