PokéNews (Oct. 26) – Pokémon GO update / Pokémon Bank reminder

Today’s Pokémon news: new update for Pokémon GO, but also…

  • Pokémon Bank
  • Pokémon Sun and Moon
  • Pokémon Global Link
  • Pokémon no Uchi Atsumaru?!

Pokémon GO

Shortly after the previous one, Niantic has released a new update for Pokémon GO. This one brings the game to Ver. 0.43.4 (Android) / Ver. 1.13.4 (iOS), but doesn’t add anything: it simply features minor bug fixes.

Talking of Pokémon GO, it looks like there’s been some issues with the Pokémon GO Plus accessory lately. The developers are currently investigating the issue, which should hopefully be fixed soon.

Pokémon Bank

Heads up for players interested in the special Regirock, Regice and Registeel (with Sturdy, Ice Body, and Light Metal respectively as their Hidden Ability): you have until Monday to get them via Pokémon Bank. To be more precise, in order to get them, you need to renew your subscription to the Pokémon Bank service (if you haven’t already).

After that, you need to transfer the Pokémon to your copy of Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire via Pokémon Link (make sure you have transferred everything else before). Do note that you can only receive those Pokémon once per account, no matter how many copies of Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire you’re using with the service.

Pokémon Sun and Moon

Yesterday, Kotaku published a short interview with Game Freak about Pokémon Sun and Moon. If you’ve ever wondered why some of the new Pokémon introduced in that game are really… peculiar (to say the least), which was the first Pokémon designed for this new generation, or why Professor Kukui is shirtless, click here!

Pokémon Sun and Moon (3DS) comes out on November 18th in Japan and North America, and November 23rd in Europe.

Pokémon Global Link

A reminder for Pokémon Global Link users: service for Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire will be terminated on Monday (October 31st). You have to make sure all you PokéMiles have been reddemed, and all items sent to your game(s). All related features will become unavailable, though the regular online features of the games will not be impacted (Mystery Gift, Free Battle, GTS, and Wonder Trade).

Service for Pokémon Sun and Moon will start on November 18th.
