Pokémon GO

Earlier this week, Pokémon from the Sinnoh region began appearing in Pokémon GO. Of course, that includes the three starters (Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup), but also many more. As usual, they do not all appear in the wild: someone come from eggs, while others appear as Raid Bosses, and more. Also, new Pokémon will come to Pokémon GO in waves, just like previous generations.

Speaking of Pokémon GO, Niantic has announced that the beta version of the PokéStop nomination feature is now available to level 40 Trainers in Mexico.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Battle Competition

Yesterday, registrations for the Ultra Spooky Cup Online Competition for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon opened. Here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Pokémon allowed: Spooky Pokémon (Ghost-type, Pokémon with a sinister visage, Pokémon that wear costumes. Black clover required). Click here to the complete list of Pokémon that can enter this Battle Competiton;
  • Pokémon banned: non-Spooky Pokémon
  • Battles: Single Battles, 3 Pokémon out of 6 sent to battle;
  • Level: 50 (lowered if above that);
  • Items: Mega Stones and duplicate Items not allowed
  • Participation prize: Shiny Mimikyu (need to take part in at least 3 battles)
  • Registration: October 18th to October 25th
  • Battles: October 26th to October 28th
  • Results announced sometime in November

Pokémon Shuffle

On Wednesday, a special set of Halloween-themed stages went live for Pokémon Shuffle. Until October 31st, the following stages are cycling through:

  • Monday = Sableye (Spooky)
  • Tuesday = Pikachu (Spooky)
  • Wednesday = Pumpkaboo (Spooky)
  • Thursday = Gourgeist (Spooky)
  • Friday = Gengar (Spooky)

The latest Queen’s Cup event is now live, and runs until October 23rd. This one allows you to earn the Misdreavus and Mismagius figures!

Pokkén Tournament DX

Today, the latest Official Group Match for Pokkén Tournament DX went live. Here’s all you need to know about it:

  • Name: Aura Blast Cup
  • Type: Team Battle, Fixed Battle Arena
  • Runs from October 19th to October 21st
  • Time: 3AM PT to 7PM PT / 6AM ET to 10PM ET / 5AM GMT to 9PM GMT / 6AM CET to 10AM CET / 6AM JST to 10PM JST
  • Participation prize: Aura Blast (title)
  • Ranking Prizes:
  1. Places 1 to 10 – Chrom League Master
  2. Places 11 to 30 – Red League Master
  3. Places 31 to 60 – Blue League Master
  4. Places 61 to 100 – Green League Master

Speaking of Pokkén Tournament, the latest Special Bonus Event for the Arcade game is now live in Japan. It runs until October 31st, and as expected, it’s about Halloween! It allows players to get the following:

  • Support Pokémon sets
  • new Skills
  • Lucky Avatar items
  • special titles

Also, the Haunted House stage is available for a limited time!

Halloween isn’t there yet, but The Pokémon Company is already getting ready for Christmas with a new set of Christmas-related merchandise, coming to Pokémon Center stores across Japan from November 3rd onwards:
