Today’s Pokémon news: Pokémon Duel soon getting a major update, but also…

  • Pokémon GO
  • Magikarp Jump
  • PokéPark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure
  • Pokémon merchandise

Pokémon Duel

In the past few months, Pokémon Duel has received new updates on a bi-weekly basis. There was supposed to be one yesterday, but… there wasn’t. And it looks like there’s a good reason for that: the development team is currently working on a major update, to be released this Summer. Unfortunately, we don’t know what this update will change or add for now…

Pokémon GO

Today, a new event was announced for Pokémon GO, but this time it’s a real one. It will take place on July 22nd and 23rd in Chester (United Kingdom), as part of the Chester Heritage Festival. During this event, various historical areas are turned into PokéStops and Gyms, with the obvious goal being encouraging people to learn more about local history.

Magikarp Jump

Today, a new update for Magikarp Jump was released. It brings the game to Ver. 1.2.1, and comes with various (bug) fixes:

  • fixes graphical issues
  • adjusts the amount of XP received in later Leagues
  • fix a glitch that made it look like Magikarp’s JP was dropping

Thanks Serebii for the heads up and extra details!

PokéPark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure

Today, Nintendo released PokéPark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure as a Wii Download on Wii U in Japan. It costs 2 700 Yen, just like all other similiar games on the Nintendo eShop of the Wii U. There’s also a special offer available on My Nintendo in Japan!
