Pokémon The Movie: Pokémon, I Choose You!

As announced yesterday, the latest Pokémon movie was revealed today. Called Pokémon The Movie: Pokémon, I Choose You!, it will open on July 15th in Japan.

Here’s the teaser trailer revealed this morning, alongside the poster:

Pokémon The Movie: Pokémon, I Choose You!  will be the 20th Pokémon movie, and it looks like the production team has decided to do something special for it. Based on the trailer below (which features the very first opening theme of the Pokémon anime series), and the poster, it’s clear the movie will be about the very beginnings of the Pokémon franchise.

However, it’s not clear what it will be about: will it be a retelling of the beginning of the Pokémon series? We will have to wait a couple of months before getting some (concrete) answers!

Pokkén Tournament

Today, Pokkén Tournament received a new update on Arcade, in Japan. It adds Empoleon, which was revealed a few days ago. Also, some special events also went live and/or were announced:

• Event #1: from December 15th to December 25th, there’s a new mission panel to complete, in order to get some special rewards and a special title (for clearing all cases). The Yveltal + Latios combo is also available (Support Pokémon).
• Event #2: Skill Up campaign, with the amount of skill points received during the promotion increased by 1.2.
• Event #3: you can get some special bonuses during the campaign, every time you play. The first one will always be a special Christmas title, while subsequent bonuses are picked at random (Support Pokémon sets, customisation items, etc.)
• Event #4: special Christmas stage
• Event #5: Santa costume once again available for purchase using your PokéGold.

NB: there will also be a New Year event, from December 27th to January 9th.
