Featured

  • Added support for the Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes expansion.
  • New game mode added called The Learning Lab! This is a permanent, replayable game mode with lessons designed to make you a better player.
  • The Trainer Trial “Twin Battle” returns! Players must have exactly two of each card in their decks, aside from Basic Energy cards.
  • Get the Mega Dragonite ex and Mega Meganium ex decks as a gift from us to celebrate the launch of Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes!
  • New art updates are coming to Pokémon TCG Live!
    • Added a new card rarity: Mega attack rare (MAR).
    • Added parallel holo cards with Energy type symbols embedded into the text box.

Competitive/Economy

  • New Battle Pass for Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes, starting January 29, 2026.
    • Earn in-game rewards by participating in matches and completing quests!
  • New Ranked Ladders are being added to coincide with the Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes expansion!
    • February 2026 Ranked Ladder: January 29, 2026 to February 26, 2026.
    • March 2026 Ranked Ladder: February 26, 2026 to March 26, 2026.

Gameplay/Battle

  • Fixed an issue where the Tera Evolution animations were erroneously displayed at match start.
  • Fixed an issue where certain attacks would show the wrong damage value if the opponent’s Pokémon had an effect that reduced or prevented damage.
  • Fixed an issue where, after leaving the card stack view, the highlight animation was displaying erroneously on cards.
  • Fixed an issue where scrolling wasn’t working properly after applying some filters in the card library.
  • Fixed an issue where the card highlight effect disappeared after viewing or closing the discard deck window.
  • Fixed an issue where some Water-type attacks weren’t displayed properly in a match.

Cards

  • Rotom ex (PFL #029): Fixed an issue where the match would soft-lock when multiple Pokémon Tools were attached.
  • Battle Cage (PFL #085): Fixed an issue where damage counters were not working properly on Benched Pokémon.
  • Ethan’s Quilava (DRI #033): Fixed an issue where the “Bonded by the Journey” Ability wasn’t functioning properly.
  • Palkia (SSP #136): Fixed an issue where the Space Crash attack was not working properly with Meganium’s (MEG #010) “Wild Growth” Ability.

General

  • Fixed an issue where a soft lock would sometimes occur when being asked to assign a deck from the Professor.
  • Fixed an issue where previewing some victory celebrations resulted in visual errors.
  • Various other fixes and polish.
