Pokémon Sun and Moon: details, pictures, prices for the Z-Ring and Z-Crystal toys (JP)

Update: just like Pokémon Sun and Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon is getting a similar toy, called Z-Power Ring. Click here for more details!

***

Yesterday, The Pokémon Company revealed plenty of details about Pokémon Sun and Moon, including the new Z Moves. To use those, you need two things: a Z-Ring and Z-Crystals. And it turns out that toys based on those two will be released alongside the game, in November. When you use a Z-Move in-game, the Z-Ring will light up, vibrate, and play sounds.

And today, Takara Tomy revealed the price for the toys, along with the various sets available for pre-order:

  • Z-Ring + Z-Crystal (Electrik): 2 600 Yen (~22€ / £19 / 25$)
  • Special Set (Z-Ring + Z-Crystal – Fire, Water, Grass, Electrik, Fighting, Normal – + collection box): 4 490 Yen (~39€, £33, $43)
  • Z-Crystal Vol. 1 (Steel, Rock, Poison): 599 Yen (~5€, £3, $5)
  • Z-Crystal Vol. 2 (Steel, Rock, Poison): 599 Yen (~5€, £3, $5)

Since there are a total of 18 Z-Crystals (one for each type), we can assume that more sets will be released later down the line. In fact, Takara Tomy confirms that the remaining Z-Crystals will be released sequentially in 2017.

Also, please note that those sets and prices only to apply for Japan. While the release of the toys have been confirmed for Europe and North America, details for those regions will be revealed at a later date.

While we wait for an announcement, here’s some pictures:

Pokémon Sun and Moon (3DS) comes out on November 18th in Japan and North America, and November 23rd in Europe. The Z-Ring and Z-Crystal toys will launch on November 18th in Japan, and around the launch of Pokémon Sun and Moon in Europe and North America (exact date TBC). Our Upcoming Releases page will be updated momentarily!
