Pokémon Sun and Moon

In case you missed the annoncement earlier today, new details for Pokémon Sun and Moon will be revealed next week, on July 1st. Click here for more details and the time for the reveal!

Pokémon Sun and Moon (3DS) comes out on November 18th in Japan and North America, and November 23rd in Europe.


If you read our previous report, you already know that Magearna is the first man-made Pokémon, and was created 500 years ago. Today, the official website for the latest Pokémon movie (Volcanion and the Ingenious Magearna) posted an artwork of Magearna’s original appearance.

Right now, it’s not clear if this original appearance will only be found in the movie, or if it will also be available in Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Battle competition

Today, battles for the latest Battle Competition started. It’s called the 2016 International Challenge June, and has the following rules:

  • Battles: Double Battle
  • Rules: current VGC rules
  • Legendary Pokémon allowed (max. 2): Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde
  • Battles: June 24th through June 26th
  • Entry prize: 2000 PokéMiles
