Pokémon GO: Valentine’s Day event starts later today
Pokémon GO was first released back in July, and since then, Niantic has released quite a lot of updates. Those fixed many issues with the game, added new features, and more. Some new Pokémon were even added, such as the Johto region Pokémon in December, but only a very limited number of them have made it so far.
Unfortunately, it’s not the latest event for Pokémon GO, announced today, that will add new Pokémon. To the surprise of no one, that event is for Valentine’s Day, and it starts later today. It be live from:
- Europe: February 8th (8PM) to February 15th (8PM)
- UK: February 8th (7PM) to February 15th (7PM)
- North America (ET): February 8th (2PM) to February 15th (2PM)
- North America (PT): February (11AM) to February 15th (11AM)
- Japan: February 9th (4AM) to February 16th (4AM)
During this event, you will get twice the usual amount of amount of Candy every time you catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon. Also, your Buddy Pokémon will find Candy twice as fast.
But that’s not all: Chansey, Clefable, and many other “adorable pink Pokémon” will be encountered more frequently in the wild. As for Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum, they will be more likely to hatch from Eggs. Finally, Lure Modules will last for six hours for the entire duration of the event.
