Paper Mario: Color Splash – Rescue V Episode 3 (Infiltration!)
In order to promote Paper Mario: Color Splash, which comes out in less than two months in Europe and North America (we still don’t have a date for Japan), Nintendo launched a video series a few weeks ago. Called Paper Mario: Color Splash – Rescue V, the video is a spoof of super heroes TV series, such as Power Rangers. Rescue V is the name of a pretty real super hero team that appears in the game. Its members are:
- Rescue Red
- Rescue Blue
- Rescue Yellow
- Rescue Purple
- Rescue Green
In the third episode, called “Infiltration! Secret Base on the Blue Sea”, we get to see Mario and the Blue Team infiltrating an enemy base. Blue Toads can be found hiding everywhere: under a cardboard box, in ventilation shafts, inside closets, below platforms, and more.
Their mission was to infiltrate the enemy base in order to find the enemy’s secret weapon. It looks like they were successful, as they not only found the weapon itself, but also its weakpoint (allowing Mario to destroy it pretty easily). By the way, it looks like Mario can become Tanuki Mario in this game!
Meanwhile, the Purple Team was casually checking out the Ocean Fest on the beach. Needless to say, the leader of Team Blue isn’t really happy about that!

Paper Mario: Color Splash (Wii U) comes out on October 7th in Europe and North America, and later this year in Japan.
