Nintendo also revealed the game for this qualiying event: it will be Ultimate NES Remix on Nintendo 3DS, and more precisely the Championship mode. Players will have to get the best score in a series of three challenges in Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 and Dr. Mario.

If you don’t own the game (or even a Nintendo 3DS), no problem: Nintendo will provide both. In fact, players will only be able to compete on consoles (and game) provided by Nintendo. But if you do own Ultimate NES Remix, you can start training right away in order to get the best score during the qualifying event!

If you wish to participate, you can fill in the registration form: click here to download it! You can also check out the rules on Nintendo’s official website for the event by clicking here.

Some quick rules/details:

– only the first 750 eligible attendees in line at each location will be provided with a wristband to compete. First come, first served basis. If there’s still time after the 750 eligible attendees, some additional attendeed will be able to participate (at Nintendo’s discretion);
– the winner is the participant with the highest score at the end of each Local Event. Only 1 winner per BesBuy location.
