Nintendo Treehouse Live previews new Tower Control mode and upcoming map for Splatoon

A few moments ago, the Nintendo of America Treehouse team finished their one hour broadcast of Splatoon’s new Ranked Battle mode called Tower Control (announced just a few hours before) that will go live in a little over a day.

In the last 15 minutes, a brand new map was shown off: Moray Towers. This map is set on some sort of construction rig inbetween big city skyscrapers and might induce vertigo in players daring to leap off of the tall structures to get over to the other team’s base.

Unlike most of the previous map additions, this one is completely original and has not appeared in the Octo Valley singleplayer mode in any way. The map will launch “very soon” but a concrete date was not provided. It is very likely that it will be next week’s Tuesday/Wednesday update.
