United States sales (Black Friday)
Nintendo have shared some sales data for the Nintendo Switch in the United States, and more precisely the Black Friday week (November 24th to November 30th). The console was extremely successful during that week: over 830 000 units sold for the OG and Lite models combined, which is none other than the single best week ever for the console in the country. Sales were also great during Cyber Monday: Nintendo mention that they ‘broke records’, with 2019 as the best year.
So far, the Nintendo Switch has sold over 17.5 million units in the Americas since launch. Software-wise, sales are also really solid:
- Pokémon Sword and Shield have sold over 3 million units in the Americas
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold over 8.5 million units in the Americas
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has sold over 8 million units in the Americas
- Super Mario Odyssey has sold over 6.5 million units in the Americas
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has sold over 1.5 million units in the Americas
