Also, earlier this week, Nintendo updated the official website for the game in Japan. It now features various video clips with direct-feed gameplay footage, that we merged into a single video for your viewing convenience:

Dillon’s Dead-Heat Breakers (3DS) comes out on April 26th in Japan, May 24th in North America, and May 25th in Europe.

Splatoon 2 – Inkopolive

Today, Nintendo announced that there will be a third “Inkopolive” performance on April 28th, at the NicoNico Choukaigi event in Japan. If you missed the previous two (at the Game Party Japan in February, and the Splatoon European Championship in March), then make sure to tune in this time around, especially as a brand new song will debut during this live performance!

It’s quite likely that new song is somehow tied to the Pearl and Marina amiibo, just like the Marie and Callie amiibo in the first Splatoon (that allowed you to trigger “private” concerts, with exclusive songs). No doubt Nintendo will make an announcement in the (near) future!

In the mean time, here’s the official recording of the second Inkopolive performance:

Nintendo Labo

Here’s a video clip for Nintendo Labo, showing how you can customise the Robot Kit:

Nintendo Labo (Switch) comes out on April 20th in North America and Japan, and April 27th in Europe.

Super Mario Odyssey

Earlier this week, Nintendo shared the latest piece of extra Hint Art for Super Mario Odyssey:

Nintendo x Scrum Ventures

Yesterday, Bloomberge reported that Nintendo teamed up with Scrum Ventures to scout startups, teams within larger companies, and university researchers working on new tools that could be used to improve the Nintendo Switch. That includes potential components, sensors, chips, and other add-ons.

Nintendo will provide outside developers with assistance in order to bring their products to market, but will not invest directly in the companies themselves. Selected technology could eventually end up incorporated into Nintendo’s products or even released under its brand.

One of the reasons Nintendo decided to go with such a partnership is to seek creative ideas, and help the Nintendo Switch maintain strong sales momentum. According to Bloomberg, potential partners will first be selected by Scrum, and they will then get an opportunity to pitch their ideas to Nintendo in the fall.

According to the report, this partnership does not apply to Software, and such proposals will simply not be considered.
