Nintendo × LeSportsac: pictures of the various bags, out tomorrow (July 19th) in Japan

During the past couple of years, Nintendo has collaborated with quite a few famous brands for official Nintendo merchandise, such as Vans. And the latest one is LeSportsac, an American handbag, luggage, and accessories company. That’s right, the next batch of official Nintendo merchandise is all about bags!

Ever dreamed of a bag covered in Super Mario illustrations? A GameBoy-shaped pouch? There’s even some bags inspired by Super Mario Odyssey, and more precisely the “stickers” from the various Kingdoms, that you can put on The Odyssey.

By the way, about that GameBoy-shaped pouch, its size is almost the same as the actual handheld: 9 x 16 x 5 cm (as opposed to 9 × 14.8 × 3.2 cm for the GameBoy itself)

Here’s some details (name + size) and pictures of the various bags and pouches from this Nintendo × LeSportsac collection:

  • Basic Backpack (40×33×13cm)
  • Small Jenni (20×21×6cm)
  • Large Weekender (35×52×27cm)
  • Medium Weekender (30×43×23cm)
  • Classic Hobo (24×32×15cm)
  • Hailey Tote (37×33×14cm)
  • Cube Cosmetic (11×11×11cm)
  • Device Pouch (9×16×5cm)
  • Rectangular Cosmetic (9×17×5cm)
  • Coin Charm (φ11cm)
  • Extra Large Rectangular Cosmetic(18×22×8cm)

Those Nintendo-branded bags will be released on July 19th in Japan (that’s tomorrow!), and later this year in Europe and North America. It looks like they will cost between 3 500 Yen and 31 000 Yen (27€ / £23 / $31 and 240€ / £210 / $275), though unfortunately, we don’t have the price for each model (no doubt 3 500 Yen is only for the pouches).
