Monster Strike on 3DS will have as much content as full-fledged RPG

In an interview published in Famitsu magazine, this week, Kouki Kimura (Producer) gave more details about the Monster Strike game for the Nintendo 3DS. First, he explained that it would have as much content as a full-fledged RPG, which confirms what we already knew: the developers are not working on a mere port of the mobile game.

Monster StrikeRight now, the developers are currently thinking about the kind of content they could add for players who have beat the game. Also, Kouki Kimura confirms that there will be no cash shop system whatsoever, which is good news for players who are not too fond of microtransactions.

The producer didn’t give too many details about the story, but reiterated that fans will find the same characters as in the anime series. However, unlike the anime (which is targetting boys in middle school), Monster Strike on Nintendo 3DS will be enjoyable by even younger kids.

Finally, Kouki Kimura confirms that the game will feature local multiplayer, as well as some sort of StreetPass feature. Of course, fans will find plenty of monsters from the mobile version of Monster Strike, but there will also be a significant amount of original elements.
