Nintendo Minute (August 7th) – Super Mario Maker Facebook Hackathon; lots of artworks

On July 28th and 29th, a Super Mario Maker Hackathon event was held at the Facebook headquarters. Employees were tasked with creating a level, and the best one will be added to the game via a free download after launch. The winning course is called “Love Ship”, and was designed Doug Strait and Roy McElmurry.

This week’s episode of Nintendo Minute is about that very Super Mario Maker Facebook Hackathon event. We get to see footage of the event itself, but also a playthrough of the three levels that made it to the finals… including the winning course: Love Ship.

Hi, last week we went to the Super Mario Maker Facebook Hackathon event at Facebook HQ in Menlo Park, CA. Over 150 Facebook employees came out to create levels in Super Mario Maker and it was awesome! So many great levels were created over the course of two days. We wanted to give you a look into the event and also show you a play through of the three levels that made it to the finals, and of course the winning level. We hope you enjoy the video, and have a great weekend!
