Monster Hunter Stories: TV commercials

Announced last year, the release of Monster Hunter Stories is drawing near: there’s now less than two weeks left until this new Monster Hunter game comes out in Japan (on October 8th, to be precise). Today, Capcom revealed two TV commercial that are already being used to advertise it!

The two TV commercials highlight two of the central elements of the game:

  • the story (what would any RPG be without one?)
  • Otomon (unlike other Monster Hunter games, monsters are your partners in Monster Hunter Stories. You fight by their side, and you can even use special moves together)

Here’s the two TV commercials for Monster Hunter Stories:

Monster Hunter Stories (3DS) comes out on October 8th in Japan. On the same day, Capcom will release the very first third-party amiibo in Japan (the Shovel Knight one was published by Nintendo in that region): Male protagonist + Rathalos, Female protagonist + Rathalos, and Nabiru. Then on December 8th, three more amiibo will be released: Cheval  + Rathian, Ayuria + Barioth (glacier), and Dan + Qurupeco.

Also, don’t forget that the Monster Hunter Stories: RIDE ON anime series will debut this Sunday, on Fuji TV (at 8.30AM JST). FUNimation will livestream it with English subtitles (but only in some countries)!
