Last week, Capcom updated the official website for Monster Hunter Stories with plenty of additional details about the game: make sure to check out this post to get them all. But it turns out there was some tidbits we missed in our previous post, more precisely about the Ride Actions and Kizuna Moves of several Otomons.

In case your missed our previous reports:

  • Ride Actions: actions you can have your Otomons perform while exploring. You can break rocks (in order to enter a cave, for example), become invisible (to sneak past enemies), swim on water, fly in the air, use vines to climb, and more. In order to explore everything and find all the secrets the game’s world has to offer, you will have to raise as many Otomon as possible, and use their Ride Action in the field.
  • Kizuna Moves (lit. Bond Moves): actions you can have your Otomons perform while in battle, thanks to your Kizuna Stone (Bond Stone). They’re basically special attacks your Otomons can launch when you’re riding them. But in order to do so, you first need to fill up a gauge. You can fill it up to three times, in order to make the special attack even more powerful.
