Monster Hunter Championships 2017: Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2 / Ultra Street Fighter II to be playable

Today, Capcom announced that two of its upcoming games would be playable at the Monster Hunter Championships 2017 events, starting from April 23rd:

  • Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Kakugo (Nintendo 3DS, no release date)
  • Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers (Nintendo Switch, out on May 26th worldwide)

For Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Kakugo, it’s pretty big deal: it will be the first time ever the game will be playable for the general public. Capcom will also offer some goodies to players who try it out.

Since there will be a livestream for the 15th Anniversary on April 17th, where new details about the game are expected to be revealed, it looks like Capcom is finally ready to show more of it!

As for Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, players will be able to switch between the retro and HD graphics, play with two players using the Joy-Cons, and chose among 19 playable characters.

Capcom will also distribute some item packs for Monster Hunter XX at the events, along with some goodies:

Here’s the various dates for the Monster Hunter Championship 2017 (which is for both Monster Hunter XX and Monster Hunter Stories):

  • Tokyo: April 23
  • Nagoya: April 30
  • Fukuoka: May 5
  • Osaka: May 14
  • Sendai: May 21
  • Sapporo: May 27
  • Finals: June 25 (only for Monster Hunter XX)
