Yesterday, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Stories would get its very first official tournament next month, at the Jump Festa 2017. It’s logically called Monster Hunter Stories Jump Festa 2017 Cup, and will take place on December 17th and December 18th. Players interested in participating can already sign up via the official website (the pre-registration period ends on November 30th).

Just about anyone can participate, as long as you have your own Nintendo 3DS and a copy of the game. You also need to download special rules via the internet beforehand.

What is there to win at this tournament? Various goodies and bits of merchandise:

  • an original mini notebook (given to everyone participating)
  • amiibo (for winners)
  • medals (for winners)
  • various goodies and bits of merchandise (for winners)

But that’s not all: at Capcom’s booth, players will be able to challenge the developers (or rather, their party data!), try out the game, and more. If you do so, you will get an original mini notebook (different design that the competition prize’s).

Here’s pictures of the prizes and goodies/merchandise:
