MLB The Show 25 – Ver. 1.09

Gameplay:
- Fixed an issue where correctly guessed pitches were not landing in the intended zone while using the guess pitch feature.
- Resolved an issue in online play where players could not access the bullpen menu after their opponent performed very specific steps.
- Fixed one issue where the pause menu could remain on screen while the game was playing in the background.
- Updated stats in the pause menu to display as PA – AVG – HR – RBI – SB instead of the previous format (PA – AVG – RBI – H – HR).
- Fixed various input issues in the pause menu.
Diamond Dynasty:
- Marketplace buy/sell order limit for player items at 90-95 OVR has been increased from 500,000 to 750,000.
- NOTE: This change specifically will go live at 12 PM PT on April 22nd.
Road to the Show:
- Addressed an issue where lower difficulty settings were occasionally playing as higher difficulty.
- Fixed a crash that could occur with two-way players in the offseason.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent a player from being included in the postseason roster in the playoffs.
- Player cards will now show the correct position after a player switches from a two-way player.
- Fixed an issue where CPU controlled batters could make contact no matter where the first pitch was thrown.
Franchise:
- Prorated player salaries are now properly applied to budgets after mid-season trades.
Storylines:
- Fixed a crash that could occur after playing Storylines and then entering an exhibition game.
Stadiums:
- Added missing retired numbers in Citi Field.
- The “Win! Twins!” neon sign will now light up during night games at Target Field.
- Fixed Mariners flags and banners at T-Mobile Park.
Miscellaneous:
- Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 World Series Gold uniforms have been added.
- Various commentary bug fixes.

General:
- 2025 San Francisco Giants City Connect uniforms have been added.
- Implemented various bug fixes to the game log.
- Fixed various bugs related to settings where items were displayed as locked or unlocked incorrectly.
- Fixed a bug where framerates would drop when a player with the dreadlock hairstyle was on the field.
- Hair physics have been enhanced for Xbox Series S.
Gameplay:
- Fixed a few bugs with the Perfect Accuracy Region (PAR) to resolve issues where the ball sometimes landed outside of the PAR on perfect pitches.
- Fixed an issue where a blank UI could appear when re-entering the bullpen screen after substituting a pitcher in online play.
- Resolved an issue with substitutions while in player-lock mode.
- “LHP vs RHH” and “LHP vs LHH” preset PCI Anchor settings will no longer reset to Middle-Center when a user boots the game.
- Fixed a bug where a catcher could get stuck in a block animation on a bunt when in player-lock.
- Fixed a bug where prompting an intentional walk could reset the pitch clock.
Road To The Show:
- Fixed a bug where regular season stats would display in the main menu during the Postseason.
- Fixed a bug that could promote a player from AA to AAA after a trade.
- Fixed a freeze that could occur during an opening presentation scene.
- Fixed an issue that would cause the game to become unresponsive when connecting a second controller in the menus.
- There will no longer be crowd noise in an empty college practice field.
- Fixed an issue where a null screen could appear after creating a sell order on an equipment item.
- An equipment pack is no longer a guaranteed reward for a boss challenge.
Diamond Dynasty:
- Removed milestone notifications in Mini Seasons.
- Fixed a bug where moments could repeat in Diamond Quest.
- Fixed a screen flickering issue that could occur when viewing perks in Diamond Quest.
- Fixed issue where users were allowed to continue a Diamond Quest run after losing or quitting a stadium challenge.
- PXP progress can now be earned when playing against Mini Bosses in Diamond Quest.
- Users will now receive Peanuts for gameplay in Diamond Quest.
- Treasure is now filtered to show stadium challenge rewards first if they are earned in Diamond Quest.
- Users will no longer receive duplicate Perks within the same rarity tier in Diamond Quest.
- Various stability fixes.
Franchise:
- Improved Prospect Trade Metric Accuracy: We now do a better job of predicting when a prospect will make his MLB debut and when their team control clock will start winding down. This leads to more accurate trade values for prospects with the biggest boost going to younger top prospects.
- Trade Metric Contract Effect Dampening: Lessened any negative contract effect on good players. star players will see the biggest boost in their trade value if they have a negative contract effect.
- Bottom Ticker: Added projected standings and projected leaders for first ten games of the regular season.
- Fixed an issue where some prospects would have the incorrect round drafted as 0 on their player card.
- Improved menu functionality to prevent accidentally jumping to the max amount in contract extensions for prospects.
- Fixed an issue where the “Rumored Talking to [Teams]” could display incorrect information after tabbing over.
- Fixed an issue where some teams (Guardians/Astros/Rays/White Sox) had inconsistent game start times in season modes.
- Updated March To October rosters with teams’ late offseason free agent signings.
Miscellaneous:
- General commentary and audio bug fixes.
- Various UI updates and text legibility improvements.
- The crowd will now take a seat after the National Anthem.

General:
- 2025 Houston Astros and Washington Nationals City Connect uniforms have been added.
- More fixes were made to prevent a crash that could occur from certain hits to the outfield.
- Fixed an issue that would crop the viewable screen area incorrectly on PS5.

Gameplay:
- Fixed an issue with Mound Visits: Resolved a few freezes that could occur in online head-to-head and co-op.

Diamond Quest:
- Peanuts will now carry over between maps.

- The “Blazing Speed” moment can now be completed for users that have ShowTime opportunities turned off.
Audio and Commentary:
- Fixed an issue that caused incorrect commentary to be frequently repeated.

- Patch notes:
General:
- Updated the batter analysis display to read “RHP vs RHH” instead of “RHP vs LHH”.
- Fixed a crash that could occur from certain hits to the outfield.
- Fixed a freeze that could occur when a runner tags up too early trying to reach home plate.
- Updated the default broadcast pitching camera for non-MLB stadiums.
Gameplay:
- Implemented logic to ensure that a pitcher in 3-inning games must face at least one batter.
- Fixed an issue that could cause users to get stuck in the pause menu during local 2-player games.
- Resolved a conflict where the “All Plays Fielding Opportunities” setting affected baserunning opportunities while player locked.
- Adjusted throws to allow for quicker throws with some of the new standing catch animations.
- Adjusted timing for tags at second base during steals.
- Removed the practice swing feature from local 2-player games.
- Tweaked AI runner behavior to prevent players from always diving back on pitch outs and balls in the dirt.
- Resolved an issue preventing users from returning their runner to third base if they took off too early on a fly ball and reached home while being double-up-able.
Diamond Dynasty:
- Fixed an issue where users were occasionally not receiving Gameplay XP.
- Fixed an issue where a small number of users were unable to enter Diamond dynasty (DD squad not found).
- Fixed a freeze in the Team Affinity menus after pressing R1 or L1 to wrap around a highlighted tab.
Diamond Quest:
- New tutorial video will be available for new users before selecting a map.
- Fixed an issue that could cause a “challenge failed” message to display when challenging the angry baseball (Zone Sweeper).
Not originally noted:
- Epic and Rare reward drop rates are now visible when highlighting a stadium space.
- Green or Red arrows next to each drop rate indicate whether they have increased or decreased compared to the initial values.
Mini Seasons:
- Fixed a bug where newly subbed in pitchers would temporarily show as having 0 energy in-game.
- ERA will now properly display in the ‘league stats’ menu.
- Users will now see the correct rewards in the postseason goals menu.
Road to the Show:
- Fixed a freeze that could happen when opening an equipment pack.
- Removed a bright flash that occurs when loading into a game on a sunny day.
- Various adjustments and improvements made to presentation scenes.
- Players will no longer wear their sunglasses at night.
- Fixed an issue that displayed duplicate trigger timings in the perk progression menu.
- Fixed an issue where pitchers were unable to control their pitches in a game after a restart.
- Fixed an issue where various displays could become stuck on-screen during gameplay.
Franchise and March to October:
- Improved substitution logic for the bullpen and starting pitchers will deliver enhanced statistical realism for both relievers and starting pitchers. Closers and setup men will see more realistic usage and more innings pitched. Long relievers will also see more realistic usage and a lower number of innings pitched. Starting pitchers should see a reduction in the number of innings they pitch, including fewer complete games, shutouts, etc.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent some players from being shown on Blockbuster signing popups after contract decisions.
- Fixed a text issue that could display the wrong round for compensatory round draft picks.
- General stability improvements.
- Fixed a bug where the news ticker would have stories overlap in-game.
- The free agency big board will no longer spoil the contract reveal for a player.
Nintendo Switch:
- Fixed missing textures behind the jumbotron in the New Orleans Pinheads’ stadium.
- Fixed texture issues in Laughing Mountain Park and Citi Field.
- The strikeout board now updates throughout the game at Citi Field.
- Various audio adjustments made across all modes.
Stadiums:
- Statesman Park: Fixed the gaps that can be seen in both outfield corners.
- Sportsman Park: Fixed the lights at night.
- Guaranteed Rate Field: White Sox Logo will now be easier to see on the jumbotron during night games.
- Citi Field: We spoke with the ball boy – he’ll no longer collide with the tarp.
- Updated the Hall of Fame logos in Ate Palm Field, Dodger Stadium, Old Texas Stadium, and Wagonman Stadium.
- Target Field: Added the updated Minnesota state flag in right field.
- Red Rocks Stadium, Forbes Field, and All American Park: The pitching rubbers will now appear on the practice mounds of both bullpens near the 1st and 3rd base lines.
- National Park: Artwork will now display on top of home dugout.
- Sutter Health Park: Improved clarity of text and images on stadium scoreboards.
- Muehlebach Field: Balls that bounce over the outfield wall will now be ruled as a ground rule double.
- Ruppert Stadium: The time of the stadium clock will now match the time set in the options.
- Comerica Park: Updated distance markers in the outfield.
Stadium Creator:
- Various improvements made to the UI. The control will no longer display off-screen when selecting a wall.
Retro Mode:
- Fixed a bug where the 8-bit filter would not remain ‘ON’ when being activated from the front-end settings.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent player textures from displaying in the on-base window.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the scorebug, and umpire callouts to disappear when 8-bit filter is enabled.
Challenge of the Week:
- Leaderboards will now display the correct leaders and correct score in the menus and in game.
Miscellaneous:
- The Seattle Mariners will now have the correct patches displayed on sleeves.
- General adjustments to text colors and sizing in various menus.
- Various commentary bug fixes and updates.
- Dirt will display on pants more consistently.
- Colors of attribute bars in the hitting feedback display have been adjusted for clarity over certain background colors.

How to download updates for MLB The Show 25 for the Nintendo Switch?
To download the updates for MLB The Show 25, you have three options:
- let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off
If not…
- try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;
OR
- select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.
To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
