Miitomo: new update available (Ver. 1.1.0), new clothing items

Update

As reported by various users (including Chris Bennion), Ver. 1.1.0 allows users to use a Nintendo Account from pretty much any region (not just Japan). If you managed to install the app manually, you can now use your European or North American Nintendo Account and link it.

MiitomoLast week, Nintendo announced that a new update for Miitomo was in the works. It’s bringing some new features, such as being able to invite friends of friends, “Everybody Answers” events, and the “Online Answers” feature. We speculated that the update would be released last week, or at the same time as the European and North American launch of the app, and it looks like we were almost right.

The update for Miitomo was released today, and it brings the game to Ver. 1.1.0.. Here’s the official changelog:

  • Added feature for making friends with friends of your friends.
  • Mutual friends will now appear in the list of suggested friends.
  • Added the “View online answers” button to the All Answers screen.
  • Changed hashtag and image for sharing an answer to the event version.
  • Fixed other issues.

While not confirmed, it’s extremely likely this is the version Europe and North America will get tomorrow. To download this update, simply launch Google Play or the AppStore (or simply click on the notification if you get it).

But that’s not all: along with the update, Nintendo also added some new clothing items to the game. This time around, the theme is “Don’t bite my style! Baked Goodness”, with some extremely appetizing items such as a donut hood, a baguette suit, and more.

Here’s a list of food-related clothing items:

  • Tasty donut hood
  • Pastry-print shirt
  • Pastry-print shorts
  • Butter pat
  • Pancakes suit
  • Sandwich tee
  • Sandwitch skirt
  • Baguette hood (set)
  • Baguette suit (set)
  • Croissant pendant
  • Toast pin
