Melty Blood: Type Lumina – Gameplay videos and character trailers

In the weeks leading to the release of Melty Blood: Type Lumina (out on September 30th worldwide), Type-Moon are planning to share some gameplay videos for the game, showcasing the various characters and their different playstyles. And in this post, you will find all the videos in one place, for your viewing convenience (naturally, it will be updated as new videos are shared).

Here’s the videos currently available:

• Red Arcueid VS Kouma Kishima (September 28th)

– Red Arcueid keeps control with “Alte Schule” and launches rapid attacks! But Kouma blocks the attacks with “Shield” and circles behind her for a counterattack…

• Red Arcueid VS Kouma Kishima (September 27th)

Red Arcueid unleashes an area-effect attack with “Alte Schule”! This puts the fight on her pace, but Kouma Kishima weathers her attacks and launches her, before finishing the fight with a powerful throw!

– Kouma Kishima: Battle Style A high-power type with unrivaled strength at close range, crushing foes with command throws and super armor
– Red Arcueid: Battle Style Uses a mobile style involving a long-distance rush, powerful projectiles, and rapid movement skills to set the pace of the fight

• Miyako Arima VS Vlov (September 25th)

Vlov corners Miyako using attacks like Ice, Memory while in Ice Mode. But Miyako holds her own by guarding, then counterattacks to corner Vlov.

• Miyako Arima VS Vlov (September 23rd)

Vlov unleashes Flame, Disease and other fierce attacks to corner Miyako. But Miyako narrowly escapes using Forced Release, counterattacking with Arc Drive!

– Miyako Arima: Battle Style A small but strong and speedy close-range fighter with explosive power.
– Vlov: Battle Style With various projectile attacks, his battle style has a long reach and allows him to fight advantageously in a wide area.

• Noel VS Roa (September 22nd)

Roa floats using Rising Lightning, swiftly unleashing combos. Just when it seems the attacks won’t stop, Noel cancels them out, gaining a chance to counter…

• Noel VS Roa (September 20th)

Roa keeps distance with Thunder Needle, but Noel takes the offensive using her long reaching weapon and projectiles to do serious damage!

Noel: Battle Style – Her battle style makes good use of her gigantic weapon’s reach to keep opponents at a distance.
Roa: Battle Style – His Specials utilize lightning, giving him great reach and speed, leading to a hate-fueled and aggressive battle style.

• Hisui VS Kohaku (September 18th)

The sisters hinder each other with item throwing attacks! Hisui’s quick combos keep coming, so Kohaku uses the long-reaching “Drawn Sword – Hidden Blade” to distance herself and get behind Hisui to follow up!

• Hisui VS Kohaku (September 16th)

Hisui withstands the Arc Drive from Kohaku’s “Look What I Grew ♪” trap attack and turns the tide with her Forced Release and item throwing attack “Watch Your Step”!

– Hisui: Battle Style She excels at speedy rush attacks and can also play a more technical style with projectiles and traps.
– Kohaku: Battle Style She’s a trickster-type fighter with a long reach. She has a lot of freedom through her traps and attacks that come in waves.

• Akiha Tohno VS Arcueid (September 14th)

Excelling in speed, Arcueid attacks with “What’re you doing?!” and other rush attacks and combos. But Akiha’s “Forced Release” breaks the flow…

• Akiha Tohno VS Arcueid (September 13th)

Akiha withstands combo rushes from Arcueid’s “Ready, go!” and other rush attacks. Having assessed attacks with Guard, Akiha then counters with her “Brilliant Wheel” trap attack!

Akiha Tohno: Battle Style Her battle style puts pressure on opponents and slowly wears them down with Specials that boast both a broad reach and powerful attack range.
Arcueid: Battle Style A powerful close-range fighter able to quickly rush in and overwhelm opponents with powerful Specials.

• Shiki Tohno (September 7th)

Shiki Tohno: Fighting style Check out his powerful battle style with standard, easy to use moves, and unguardable Mystical Eyes of Death Perception.

• Ciel (September 3rd)

Ciel: Fighting style A well-balanced fighter with many different skills for different situations and opponents, able to move freely across the stage with a huge variety of attacks.
