Gurumin 3DNihon Falcom is a name fans of J-RPG (should) know pretty well: after all, they’re the creator of famous series such as Ys and The Legend of Heroes, and many others. And today, it was announced that the very first Nihon Falcom on Nintendo 3DS would be released this Summer in North America.Unfortunately, the game announced is from neither series: it’s Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure.

The game was previously released on PSP and Steam, and is now coming to the Nintendo 3DS (via the Nintendo eShop) in a “remastered” version with 3D visuals.

For those who don’t know, Gurumin is an action-RPG, with Parin (a young human girl) as the protagonist. One day, she stumbles upon Monster Village, and this completely changes her life: she befriends all the monsters in there. She also comes upon a legendary drill, that she uses to defend her new friends from a group of Phantoms.

The game features:

  • platform action
  • RPG elements
  • over 30 stages, filled with puzzles and traps
  • boss battles
  • a unique “beat-based” critical system
  • multiple levels of difficulty
  • and more…

Gurumin 3D will be released this Summer in North America, via the Nintendo eShop (where it will cost $14.99).

Here’s a trailer for the game (not from the Nintendo 3DS version):

Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure (3DS eShop) will be released next month in North America. It has been added to our Upcoming Releases page.
