[E3 2016] E3 2017 will take place on June 13-15

Today is the last day of E3 2016, which will end in a couple of hours (as of writing). Wondering if there will be an E3 2017? You be there will be! Wondering when it will take place? From June 13th to June 15th. It will once again take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, located in Downtown Los Angeles.

Those dates come from the usual banners the ESA puts at the main exits of the Convention Center. The official press release mentions that there was a total of 70 300 attendees this year, including 50,300 video game professionals, analysts, journalists, and enthusiasts. There was also 20,000 fans who attended attended E3 Live. In total, more than 1,600 products were showcased, from more than 250 exhibitors.

Here’s data from previous years as comparison:

2015: 52,200 attendees
2014: 48,900 attendees
2013: 48,200 attendees
2012: 45,700 attendees

One thing to take into accounts is that publishers did invite even more fans to the event this year (and we’re not just talking about E3 Live), which certainly helped increase the number of attendees.

On the internet, E3 generated more than 7 million posts on Twitter alone, 500 000 likes on Instagram, and over 42 million players tuned in on Twitch to check out E3-related content.
