The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild gets a second trailer, more gameplay footage

As announced earlier this week, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was showcased during the Game Awards 2016. We even got more than most expected, as besides a new trailer, we also were treated to more gameplay footage. The best thing? Everything that was shown was brand new, and not from the same areas as the E3 2016 demo.

Let’s start right away with the new trailer. It is a bit on the short side, but it does show some brand new locations, along with some NPC (including a dog), and more. There’s even some story segments, giving us a sneak peek at what happened for Hyrule to end up in such a sad state. At the end, we briefly get to see a female character who might very well be Princess Zelda…

Next, there’s the gameplay segment, featuring Bill Trinen and Nate Bihldorff. It shows Link trying to reach a shrine located in what seems to be a tropical forest. It begins with Link talking to a rather strange parrot-like character, who gives him a clue as to where the shrine is located.

But that friendly (albeit mysterious) NPC isn’t the only one living in those woods, as plenty of pretty dangerous enemies can be found there… Bill Trinen ends up dying pretty quickly, and even Nate Bihldorff ends up having a bit of a hard time against them (it doesn’t help when your weapons just keep on breaking!).
