Kirby: Battle Royale – Demo available in Europe, Meta Knight to unlock

Kirby: Battle Royale is a multiplayer focused game, releasing as part of the celebrations for the 25th Anniversary of the Kirby series. Believe it or not, it will be released in Europe first (pretty unusual for a Kirby game), with Japan only getting it later this month (on November 30th). As for North America, it will not get the game until next year, on January 19th…

And since Europe is getting the game first, it was to be expected that this region would also be the first to get the demo! It was released yesterday on the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo 3DS. To download it, you will need no less than 1 121 blocks of free space on your SD Card (about 140MB).

It allows you to try out 3 different battle modes, and use 3 Copy Abilities. And since this is a special demo, there’s no play limit: you can play it as many times as you want!

Finally, the demo is playable solo, or with up to 4 players (only via local wireless, though the full game is playable online, as mentioned in this post). It’s compatible with the Download Play feature (just like the full game), which means only one player needs to download the demo.

But that’s not all: once you’re done with the demo, do not delete it or anything. If you transfer the data to the full version of Kirby: Battle Royale, you will be able to unlock Meta Knight as a playable character!

Here’s a trailer for Kirby: Battle Royale… and more precisely its demo!

Kirby: Battle Royale (3DS) comes out on November 3rd in Europe, November 30th in Japan, and January 19th in North America. The demo will most likely be released in Japan and North America in November and January respectively.
