Japan: the Nintendo Switch Summer Sale 2024 is now live until August 18th

Just like in Europe and North America, Nintendo also hosts special seasonal sales on the Nintendo eShop, allowing players to save money on a wide variety of 1st and 3rd-party games. The next sale in Japan is the Nintendo Switch Summer Sale, and it will run from August 5th (12AM JST) to August 18th (11.59PM).

With how weak the Yen currently is, that sale is particularly interesting for those looking to save some extra bucks as most of the games on sale do have an English language option (those that do not are marked as such in the list below).

Here’s the list of games set to go on sale during the Nintendo Switch Summer Sale in Japan:

And as usual, Nintendo is running a sale on Karaoke Joysound for Nintendo Switch:

And that’s not all! The My Nintendo Store is also holding a special campaign where you can get 20% off on a bundle including Animal Crossing: New Horizons merchandise and one of the Nintendo games on sale. To get the discount, you need to put at least one of 5 select games one of 14 Animal Crossing goodies in the cart.

Finally, Nintendo is running a special offer in collaboration with convenience store chains like 7-Eleven, FamilyMart and Lawson: customers can get extra Nintendo eShop funds (via a Serial Code) if they purchase a pre-paid card and then register the ticket on a special website.
