Japan: more sales data for Week 47, Pokémon Sun and Moon, November (Media Create, Dengeki)

Media Create

Today, Media Create released its weekly report for video game sales in Japan, providing us with more sales data for Week 47. During that week, Software sales topped 869 000 units, which is 43.84% of Week 46 sales: a massive drop quite obviously attributed to Pokémon Sun and Moon released the previous week.

Media Create also shared more data for Pokémon Sun and Moon, with Week 2 sales that amount to roughly 1/4 of launch week sales:

  • Pokémon Sun: 197 000 units
  • Pokémon Moon: 179 000 units

They note that the second week drop was more or less the same as for Pokémon X and Y (something we already pointed out on Wednesday):

  • Pokémon X: 240 000 units
  • Pokémon Y: 233 000 units

Total sales for the second week, including the dual-pack, top 2.28 million units, which is slightly lower than Pokémon X and Y (2.448 million units).
