Indie news (Apr. 6): Graceful Explosion Machine / Rusty Pup / Animal Gods / Wonder Boy

Today’s Indie news: launch trailer for the Graceful Explosion Machine, but also…

  • The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup
  • Animal Gods
  • Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap
  • Yooka-Laylee
  • Snake Pass
  • Petite Games

Graceful Explosion Machine

Here’s the launch trailer for Graceful Explosion Machine, now available on the Nintendo Switch in Europe and North America:

The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup

Earlier this week, Gory Detail shared a few more screenshots for The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup, in development for the Nintendo Switch (and the Nintendo 3DS):

Animal Gods

Today, Animal Gods was released on the Nintendo eShop of the Wii U, in North America. What’s next for the developers (besides the European release, obviously)? Well… what about a Nintendo Switch version? It certainly looks like a definite possibility, if that answer from the developers to a fan congratulating them for the release is to be believed:

thank you !!! loving the new console, so switch port is goal!

Thanks Colonel Mustard for the heads up!

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap

Heads up for fans waiting for Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap: all versions of the game, including the Nintendo Switch one, have gone gold! The game will be released on April 18th in Europe and North America.

Yooka-Laylee

Here’s a video for Yooka-Laylee, where the developers talk about modernising the 3D platformer (that’s the title of the video, after all!):

Join some of the Playtonic gang as they share their favorite parts of Yooka-Laylee and tell their story of modernising the classic platforming genre!

Yooka-Laylee (Switch) will be released later this year.

Snake Pass

Earlier today, Sumo Digital held an AMA session about Snake Pass over at Reddit. If you missed it while it was live, you can click here and catch up on all the answers shared!

Petite Games

Yesterday, Petite Games made a couple of announcements:

  • Infinite Golf (Nintendo 3DS) has passed lotcheck at Nintendo of America, which means the release is now pretty close. Unfortunately, no news about the European release!

  • they’re working on a new game, and since they want to be pretty transparent during development, they’re going to share various videos and screenshots. Here’s the first video:

We know very little about the game, but it looks like it could land on the Nintendo Switch, though it’s way too early to talk platforms for now according to Petite Games (which is quite understandable!).
